The most important feature of the new order is American unilateralism and the centrality of the West in international politics. Since the formation of the new order, one of the most important threats and challenges for the American rulers, it was how to face their opponents in the world system level. In the meantime, the attention of intelligence-security organizations and agents of American foreign policy was directed to confronting Iran and Russia as opponents of the existing order. In this regard, the purpose of the article is to explain the grand strategy of the United States to confront and contain Russia and Iran. The main research question is: How is the securitization of the hegemon's enemy countries accomplished in the US macro strategy? The hypothesis of the research is formulated as follows: “By involving the target countries in fictitious crises, America is seeking securitization and thus restraining the countries that intend to challenge its hegemony.” The theoretical framework of the research is the theory of securitization in the Copenhagen school and the research method is qualitative.
The findings of this research indicate that, based on the securitization strategy, the United States seeks to create security crises in the internal and peripheral environment of the target countries.
