After decades of cold political and economic relations between India and Israel, in recent years there has been an increasing convergence of interests between India and Israel. This strengthening of relations entered a new phase of relations with the establishment of full diplomatic relations. Israel has become a prominent player in India's foreign policy calculations, with bilateral cooperation that spans multiple domains. While the foundations of India-Israel relations are already in place, Narendra Modi has paved the way for a significant leap and momentum in bilateral relations. The question is that the promotion of Israel-India relations to a strategic level during the last decade was subject to what variables and considerations. Based on the approach of neoclassical realism, the author's hypothesis states that the development of relations between these two actors was primarily related to the key role of the leaders of the two governments and their party preferences, and secondly, mutual strategic needs helped to change and strengthen these relations. The findings of the research show that the future of the desired level of relations in case of changes in the political power of the two governments as well as regional developments is associated with some degree of uncertainty.
