The main question of this research is: What is the evaluation of deterrence theory in international relations with jurisprudential approach in verse 60 of Surah Anfal? The research method in the current research is from the perspective of the fundamental goal, from the perspective of descriptive-analytical nature and from the perspective of processing qualitative information and the method of collecting study-library information. The results of the research show that verse 60 of Surah Anfal is not compatible with the theory of deterrence in its foundations, purpose and scope. Confronting the enemy and empowering the righteous front are two central principles in the all-round preparation against the enemy in the mentioned verse.
