Ukraine is very important due to its geostrategic position as the meeting point of East and West, industrial capacities and historical background in the Eurasian region, transit position and buffer between Russia and NATO countries. This feature, as well as its ethnic context, has turned this country into a place for confrontation and competition between Russia and the West. If in 2004 the competition in the political field caused Russia and the West to face each other in Ukraine, 18 years later, due to geostrategic and geopolitical factors, the two sides faced each other. Accordingly, in February 2022, during the beginning of a special operation, which is considered a preventive measure to prevent future threats from the Kremlin's point of view, the war between Russia and Ukraine began. This conflict led to the secession of a part of Ukraine and the formation of a new international order. The main goal of the research is to explain the geostrategic developments caused by the war between Russia and Ukraine and the future of the world order. The research method is descriptive and analytical. This article seeks to answer the question, what is the effect of the geostrategic changes caused by the war between Russia and Ukraine on the future of the world order? To answer this hypothesis, it has been investigated that based on Samuel Huntington's theory of new dimension of power, the geostrategic developments caused by the war between Russia and Ukraine will lead to the formation of a multipolar system.
